The Fayetteville Young Professionals (FYP) program is a dynamic network for emerging leaders between the ages of 21 and 40 who are looking to grow professionally, build meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact in our community.
Launched by the Greater Fayetteville Chamber, FYP is designed to help young professionals expand their networks, strengthen leadership skills, enhance their professional brand, and become more engaged in the future of Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
Whether you are an entrepreneur, business professional, nonprofit leader, educator, military professional, or public servant, FYP provides opportunities to connect with peers and experienced leaders who share a commitment to personal and professional growth.

Professional Networking
Build valuable relationships with fellow young professionals, business executives, and community leaders throughout the Greater Fayetteville region. Through networking events, social gatherings, and Chamber programs, you'll expand your circle of influence and create connections that can benefit your career for years to come.
Leadership Development
An annual election of FYP peers will take place in January each year. Those elected FYP Officers will lead and develop the skills for the group that is needed to become a confident and effective leaders in their own fields. FYP members will participate in leadership-focused programs, public speaking opportunities, task forces, and discussions led by accomplished business and community leaders.
Community Engagement
Gain a deeper understanding of the issues, opportunities, and organizations shaping our community. Members will participate in service projects, volunteer initiatives, and partnerships with local nonprofits that make a meaningful impact across Cumberland County.
Annual Programming
FYP members will enjoy a variety of monthly events and experiences throughout the year, including:
- Exclusive professional and personal development workshops focused on leadership, communication, networking, and career advancement.
- Annual community service projects and donation drives supporting local nonprofit organizations.
- Quarterly after-hours networking socials are hosted at popular local venues.
- Opportunities to participate in task forces and collaborative projects that strengthen leadership and teamwork skills.
- Invitations to select Greater Fayetteville Chamber programs, including Business After Hours, Coffee Club, Government Relations Committee meetings, and Toastmasters events.
Eligibility
Participation is open to professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 who are employed by a current member of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber. Chamber membership is required to participate in Fayetteville Young Professionals activities and programs.
Cost
Dues are paid annually. The inaugural professional who registers in 2026-2027 can participate for $199. Professionals joining and all renewals starting in 2028 and future years will have the opportunity to join for $255.  The Chamber works diligently with sponsors and community partners to keep participation costs affordable. While many programs will be offered at little or no cost, certain events may require a nominal registration fee to offset venue, food, beverage, or program expenses.
