    INDIGO MOON FILM FESTIVAL

RECEIVES ARTS COUNCIL GRANT FOR 2020 FESTIVAL

    FAYETTEVILLE, NC —

GroundSwell Pictures announced today that the fifth annual Indigo Moon Film Festival will be supported in part by a $6,400 grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville Cumberland County.

The virtual edition, to take place from October 9-15, and promises more than 50 films, live panels, filmmaker talkbacks and special events. " We are so grateful for the support of the Arts Council, especially this year.  2020 is a tough year all around, but with the support of the Arts Council, IMFF will still be able to bring quality films and film related programming to our audiences.

The slate of films for the upcoming Indigo Moon Film Festival will be unveiled in August at a virtual event. IMFF is working with Eventive to stream the festival’s fifth film season online.  Ticketed festival-goers will stream films through a virtual portal for a limited number of days. Several filmmakers and experts will lead discussions live on Zoom following the screenings and will be recorded for viewing later.

According to Jan Johnson, Co-founder of IMFF, It would have been easy to cancel the film festival and wait until next year, but the board of Indigo Moon Film Festival says “The Show Must Go On!”
