Eastover Sanitary District Breaks Ground on New Facility
FAYETTEVILLE – The Eastover Sanitary District held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new administrative office and operations center Oct. 28. The 4,500 square-foot building will provide expanded space for all ESD operations to include offices for administration and finance, a board conference room, a drive-thru pay lane and an area for utility work crews.
The ESD operations center will be built on a vacant lot beside the current leased ESD facility located at 3876 Dunn Road. The total cost of the project is $1,589,000 and will be financed through a $1.4 million loan through USDA Rural Development. The remaining $189,00 will be paid by ESD. Stogner Architecture, LKC and Southeastern Properties & Development received contracts to build the operations center.
The Eastover Sanitary District was established in 1998 and serves approximately 7,300 customers. Water is purchased from the City of Dunn and sewer service is contracted through Fayetteville Public Works Commission.
