The North Carolina Symphony currently has a 39.5-week regular season plus an optional 18-service summer season, which runs from mid-June through early July.
The North Carolina Symphony is the state orchestra of North Carolina and has a legacy of statewide service and music education. Called by some the hardest-working orchestra in America, with the most extensive education program of any symphony orchestra, the North Carolina Symphony last year traveled 18,000 miles, taking Classical and Educational concerts almost every week to more than a quarter-million North Carolinians. Led by Music Director Grant Llewellyn, the North Carolina Symphony continues to pursue its commitment to visionary performances, educating children, and serving the state.
